EB-5 Petitions approved in 45 days
National Interest Project accelerates approval of EB-5 petitions (Expedite Processing)
Very rarely, the USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Service) approves the National Interest status for an EB-5 project. This exceptional situation may allow both project and investor petitions to have priority in their evaluation and approval, which is called Expedite Processing.
Recently, USCIS has decided to benefit from the EB-5 project of a large sports complex in the State of North Carolina, whose investors are receiving approval of their petitions on an average of 45 days, while in normal projects, the average approval time is 25 months, and increasing.
For investors of this project, access to the EB-5 Visa and the Green Card may only take between 5 and 8 months, which is a very rare opportunity. Everything will depend on the speed of the consular process, if they are outside the US, or the status adjustment, if they are already in the country.
Projects of National Interest typically have a very large demand, both for the short period of approval of the petitions and for the perception of greater investment security in a project recognized by the government as being important and a priority. It is anticipated that the EB-5 investment quotas for this project will not be available for a long time, so interested potential EB-5 investors should take immediate action to take advantage of this opportunity.
